Sometimes I sit and think to myself…
“Girl, you have to be delusional”
There’s no way the things you imagine could ever come to fruition
People don’t care to have that much dedication
 
Not that they have to be 100% dedicated to you
Just the idea of dedication seems like too much for one to go through
 
Love your babies
Live in your truth
Commit to your relationships
Follow through on your hopes + dreams

Nurture your village so they desire to see the world + feel all of its abundance
Get the education that wasn’t always promised to people of your hue
And don’t forget to give yourself to a country that cares so little for those who look like you

Why does it even matter?

As soon as I take off my rose colored glasses and get a view of the world,
All I am surrounded by is people who are content in their being
Content with being self-absorbed
Content with days of loneliness + nothing
Content with feeding things that will never grow
Content with just being
                       … not giving
