What exactly does that mean?

How can that mission be accomplished?




“Closer”

Closer would indicate that we gravitate towards one another + strengthen bonds

Closer should mean that feelings have a safer place to be unleashed + heard compassionately

Closer could demonstrate seeking to understand what is not immediately understood 

And being open to searching the depths of souls for answers




Closer…

Is, sadly, not what is happening

Instead

Witnessing egos + life traumas of the past stand tall like a wall between the two

Observing secrets of reality being held as if the truth is not what we seek

Overhearing the words “express how you feel”… as long as those words aren’t threatening to current beliefs




Closer cannot happen if people involved remain unchanged




In the mist of this horrific bliss, “closer” is just a sentimental desire with no action plan in sight
